Ben Goes in for Heart Surgery
new "ticker" continues
to do well. His heart got its first shock while he was sitting at the Flashback
Chicago. The pacemaker will give his heart a mild shock every time it is
off rythm. Although his back is bothering him, the pacemaker has given
him more energy.
Ben's heart surgery was a success. He was released at 10:00 AM today
Hawaii time. He was in the hospital only 24 hours. He will get his bandages
off Sunday the 18th. His pacemaker is making his ticker beat regular now. In
addition to being the Gillman, he is now the Titanium Man. He now has a titanium
heart in addition to a titanium hip.
On Monday, July 12 Ben will go in for heart surgery. He is getting a new Implantable
Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD). This is an upgraded pacemaker. He is being
