Aloha Ben,I was a fan of the Creature long before I ever had a chance to see the movie. I think it was the most creative and realistic concept of it's day and still so.As a kid I always wished I had a gillman suit so I could jump in the local pool and scare all the kids.I'm 45 now and I still wish I had a Creature suit. All the best.-Dave

Ben,

Excellent website!
Was curious of what happened to
the original costume? Did it grow
old and dry and crack, or is it
stored somewhere in a museum or
the Ackermansion? Curious!
Keep up the great work! Let me know
when you visit Rhode Island.
Have a kipper on me!

Mr. Chapman,

I have always enjoyed going to the movies as a kid in the '50's. I have always liked science fiction in the movies. One of my greatest memories is of going to the saturday matinee and watching a movie that will change me fovever! Who was this man, this creature that came from a time before man? "The creature from the Black Lagoon" is perhaps the most well written science ficion ever made and had tremendous influence
on the movies that followed it. It's a movie that you just can't forget. Well, nuff said. Take care.

Hi Ben and Creature Fans,

I have been a fan for more years that I can remember, since I was a kid. I am now 46 years old. And one of my wishes before I die, was to see The Creature From The Black Lagoon in 3-D. Life is short, I may live to be 100, but this year I have had four stents placed in my heart. The Creature has always been my favorite of all the monsters. This Halloween I watched all three Creature movies. It was great seeing them again.
On Saturday I had the surprise of my life. I was getting ready to watch Football. Nebraska Vs Texas. I was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. And I thought that nothing would ever keep me from watching the Cornhuskers. Go Big Red. But who should come by the house. An angel, a friend of my son, came by to get my son. My son was the M C at the high school for the local horror film makers of Aberdeen. I was told that they would be showing The Creature from The Black Lagoon in 3-D. Two cans of food for the food drive was the price of admition. Unbelieveable. A Dream Come True.
Life is good. I have a lot more wishes when it comes to the Creature. Maybe just maybe. And I'll keep wishing.
Oh I almost forgot to tell you. The 3-D movie of the Creature is the best way to see the Creature. His eyes really look great in 3-D. Plus I set right up front, no one in front of me. Just that nice big screen and The Creature From The Black Lagoon.
Jerry

Mr. Chapman,
My name is Gene Page and I grew up in Florida not only watching the Creature films on television but also swimming in some of the locations used in the productions. I am now in my 40's and have two children and we watch the Creature films together! Additionally, I am a motion picture still photographer who has worked on other "monster" films, but I would have loved to have been around to work on yours, (I guess I would settle for a modern remake, which obviously would not be as good as the original....) Thank you!
